DESCRIPTION:Join Guildford Astronomical Society at Newlands Corner for a fr
 ee public viewing of the partial solar eclipse\, when more than 90% of the
  Sun will be covered by the Moon. Society members will have specialist sol
 ar telescopes available\, along with eclipse glasses to borrow.\n\nMeet at
  the Discovery Centre from 5:30 pm\, with the short guided walk to the obs
 erving site departing at 5:45 pm. The eclipse begins at 6:17 pm and reache
 s maximum at 7:12 pm. The eclipse officially ends at 8:07 pm\, although th
 e low setting Sun may disappear from view before then.\n\nNo booking is re
 quired. The event is weather dependent\, so please check Guildford Astrono
 mical Society's social media channels for updates on the day.\n\n
