Join The Brecks Landscape Partnership for a unique opportunity to experience the deepest partial solar eclipse visible from the UK since 1999.
Set against the backdrop of the Brecks' distinctive landscape, this special event offers the chance to witness the Moon gradually crossing the face of the Sun and to discover the fascinating effects an eclipse has on the world around us. As daylight levels fall, visitors can observe subtle changes in temperature, notice how wildlife and nature respond, and explore the unusual sharp and blurred shadow patterns created by the eclipsed Sun.
Throughout the event, members of The Brecks Landscape Partnership will explain the science behind these eclipse phenomena and help visitors make the most of this rare celestial spectacle. The next eclipse of comparable magnitude visible from the UK will not occur for another 55 years.
Solar eclipse glasses will be provided, allowing everyone to safely observe the Moon's passage across the Sun.
