Eclipse to stardust: a night under Beirhope Skies

Join the team at Beirhope for an unforgettable evening combining the partial solar eclipse with stargazing and the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower. Arrive from 5:30 pm to watch more than 90% of the Sun become covered by the Moon, with eclipse glasses available for safe viewing.

As darkness falls, resident astronomy expert Ford will introduce Beirhope's new telescope, offer tips for photographing the night sky with your phone and explore the sights visible overhead. From around 9:40 pm, head up the hill to a dark-sky viewing spot to settle down and watch for Perseid meteors.

Tickets allow you to join for the eclipse, the evening stargazing and Perseids, or stay for the whole experience from eclipse to shooting stars.
