Experience the eclipse at York University

Join the University of York for a special evening celebrating the partial solar eclipse, with around 92% of the Sun covered by the Moon at maximum. The evening begins with a short talk on eclipses by astrophysicist Dr Emily Brunsden, followed by safe observing through specialist solar telescopes with experts on hand to explain what is happening and answer questions.

Certified eclipse glasses, courtesy of Go Stargazing, will be available to help visitors enjoy the eclipse safely. If poor weather prevents observing, the event will continue with live coverage of the eclipse from elsewhere.
