Partial Solar Eclipse Observing at Oliver’s Mount

Join members of Scarborough and Ryedale Astronomical Society (SARAS) at Oliver's Mount for a public viewing of the partial solar eclipse. Experienced astronomers will have specialist solar telescopes available, providing a safe and fascinating way to observe the Moon covering around 90% of the Sun.

The eclipse runs from 6:12 pm until 8:02 pm, with maximum eclipse at 7:08 pm. A limited number of certified eclipse glasses will be available to purchase at the event. The event is weather dependent, with any cancellation announced via the society's website and social media.
