Partial solar eclipse observing at South Downs Planetarium

Join the astronomy experts at the South Downs Planetarium in Chichester for a special evening dedicated to the partial solar eclipse. The event runs from 6:00 pm until 8:15 pm, with the eclipse beginning at 6:18 pm, reaching maximum at 7:14 pm when around 93% of the Sun's diameter will be obscured, and ending at 8:07 pm.

If skies are clear, specialist equipment will be available outside for safe solar observing. If cloudy, visitors can watch a live stream from within the path of totality, while a special planetarium show will explore the science of eclipses. All activities are included in the same ticket, and free parking is available. Advance booking is recommended.
