Join the friendly astronomers from Croydon Astronomical Society at Bingham Recreation Ground in Addiscombe for this free event to observe the spectacular partial solar eclipse on Wednesday 12 August 2026. Running from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, the event offers a safe and fascinating way to experience one of the year's most memorable astronomical event.

Experienced volunteers will have specialist solar telescopes available, allowing you to watch the Moon gradually pass in front of the Sun in complete safety while learning more about eclipses and our nearest star. Please note that this event is weather dependent and will only go ahead if conditions are favourable for observing the eclipse. Wishing for clear skies!
