Solar eclipse viewing at Tomintoul

Tomintoul Skyhide Stargazing Pavilion - Field of Hope Car Park

Tomintoul, Ballindalloch, Banffshire, AB37 9ET

Join Cairngorms Astronomy Group at the Field of Hope near Tomintoul for a public viewing of the partial solar eclipse. Experienced astronomers will have a specially filtered solar telescope available, along with certified eclipse glasses, giving visitors the opportunity to safely watch as around 90% of the Sun is covered by the Moon.

The eclipse runs from approximately 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, reaching maximum at around 7:00 pm. The event is weather dependent, so please check conditions before travelling.

No booking required, just turn up on the evening.
